Why Marketing is like Skiing?
Monday, February 1 2010
I’m a certified Professional Ski Instructor of America, a USSA Ski Racing Coach, and I serve as a Board of Director for the United States Ski and Snowboard Association, Rocky Mountain Division. So as you can imagine, I’m very passionate about being out on the slopes.
The snow sports industry is always wondering why people stop skiing. I have a pretty good idea: it’s expensive, it’s dangerous, it’s cold, it’s a huge time commitment, it has loads of specialized equipment…the list goes on. But, if you ask someone who comes off the mountain after spending a sunny day ripping through eight inches of powder in the back bowls, they’ll tell you about their epic day and that they will be back.
Without a doubt, the thrill of the sport out-weighs the barriers.
Now I ask you, why did you stop marketing? I’m sure you have your list of reasons, but let’s look at those benefits. With the right equipment, your business can show phenomenal growth and we’re here to do the heavy lifting.
Hopefully the thrill of seeing your business grow will out-weigh all of the challenges that your business faces. Let me know if you’d like to get together; I want you to have an epic marketing experience!
